About Our Private Hunting Farms

In Dorchester County, 350 landowners, including Tudor Jones, the heir to Dow Jones™, put out 143,000 ducks per year for the RSA program. Our 137- and 120-acre hunting farms have standpipe-controlled water levels so that they may be dried, planted, and flooded during hunting season. We have a DVD showing more than 5,000 ducks in the area in a 35-minute period. In addition to ducks, there is an abundance of mostly Canadian and snow geese—they seem to prefer the 121-acre farm, which is the one without standpipe setups.

Choose Our 120-Acre Hunting Farm

Our 120-acre farm is the largest crayfish farm in Maryland. It holds 3 10-acre ponds with a 10-acre moat surrounding all 3. There is a 450' well with geothermically heated water (54 degrees F) in the winter, which, when pumped into the ponds, keeps them ice-free all year long. The property is a Regulated Shooting Area, and puts out 200 ducks per year; one such duck was shot 2 years later in California by the Assistant Secretary of the Interior, who then sent our owner the leg band.
